En el marco del programa “Inglés para el Trabajo, la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires designó a Pearson English para la implementación de un programa intensivo de inglés para adultos jóvenes, con especialización en áreas tecnológicas. El programa que se inicia en agosto beneficiará inicialmente a dos mil graduados del área de tecnología de la “Agencia de Aprendizaje a lo Largo de la Vida”, un organismo del Ministerio de Educación de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires que promueve políticas para mejorar las posibilidades de empleabilidad, desarrollo profesional, personal y social de las personas. De acuerdo con datos del Sistema Integrado Previsional Argentino, el trabajo registrado en el país creció 4.8% interanual en abril de 2022, con la creación de casi 600 mil empleos, en relación al mismo mes de 2021. En ese mismo contexto, y de acuerdo con un estudio de Randstad a nivel mundial, saber idiomas incrementa 37% las posibilidades de acceder a un empleo, siendo el inglés el más demandado, ya que cerca del 90% de las ofertas que piden otra lengua, exigen ese idioma. «Inglés para el trabajo es una iniciativa que busca acercarles a los/as egresados/as de la Agencia de Aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida, una oferta educativa gratuita adecuada a sus necesidades, con herramientas concretas para enfrentar el mundo laboral, promover su desarrollo profesional y potenciar las oportunidades de empleabilidad», explicó Eugenia Cortona, Subsecretaria de la Agencia de Aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida.
